How much does custom software cost?

Why not a fixed price list?

Software development is not like painting: you do not price it by the square metre. The cost depends on the number of features, integration complexity and how unusual your processes are. What I can give you: realistic ranges per service, and a configurator where you can assemble your requirements into a concrete estimate in a few minutes.

The numbers below are not 'promo prices' — typical project ranges based on years of experience. The exact price always comes from a feature list, but these let you plan.

What affects the price?

Three main factors determine where you land in the range:

Number and complexity of features

A simple form and list is cheaper than a multi-user system with permissions, workflows and reports. The most expensive features: complex integrations, real-time sync, custom report engine.

Integrations

If the system must talk to invoicing APIs, your bank, a courier service and your existing ERP, that is more work — but it usually saves more over time than it costs to build.

Design and UX requirements

A clean, functional admin UI ships faster than a marketing-oriented, animated experience. Both can be good — they just have different price tags.

TCO: rent vs. own

A SaaS subscription at €50–200/month looks cheap — but over 3 years that is €1,800–7,200, and you still do not own the system. A custom MVP at €2,500–7,500 costs more upfront, but afterwards you only pay maintenance and extensions — and you own the source code.

Custom is not always the answer: if an off-the-shelf tool covers 90% of your needs, start there. But if you fight its limits daily or plan beyond 3 years, run the TCO — the result often surprises people.
